about

WHODUNIT « Welcome to… »
Lp (14 tracks) / Cd (15 tracks)
Following two killer albums, Whodunit have signed with Closer Records!
This Parisian outfit usually doesn't fuss over the details, and true to form, have recorded their 3rd release under the watchful eye of Lucas Trouble's at his demonic Kaiser Studio crypt. For this record, the band has added a new guitarist, Pascal from the Norvins. A real powerful production, as organic as it is insane, it eminates vital energy through spasmodic frenzy and hot, magma expulsions. Let's drown into a leaded, monolithic and explosive album... Guitars are wild, cutting like razors, but also perfectly restrained when they need to be when tension rise. A Massive and primal, and sometimes tribal rhythm section hammers, over and over, connecting all the pieces of this boiling maelström. Emerging from these chaotic, sulfurous foundations is Didier Whodunit's quavering voice, bark out each chorus in a long, furious and possessed howl ...
From heavy metal thunder (« Welcome », « So Bad » or « Bird in a Cage »), to psychedelic-inspired blues ' (« Hangover », « Highway 31 ») , including some classic covers (« Fire of Love », « Big Black Witchcraft Rock »), Whodunit have created an aural landscape, squeaky, visceral and hysterical; a world haunted by ghosts of the Cramps, Meteors, Gun Club and The Dead Kennedys.
There’s no messing around with Whodunit!
